Pantherophis guttatus guttatus (amelanistic motley striped het aneryA)
(Elaphe guttata guttata)

Amelanistic motley-striped male, born in 2001 il Holland. We bought him in 2003 as sub-adult specimen. He show homogenised coloration, typical of motley-striped pattern, and his pattern stripe in first half of body, except first cm of the neck, and motley with hurricane in second half. Thanks to his considerable size and splendid fitness, at Reptiles Day Contest 2005 he was chosen by Priscilla Finocchi (www.elaphe.it) as worthy specimen of the contest, winning the "special premium" offered by Gianni Ripa. He is father of several hatchings (always paired with Marghot) and babies that have atypical pattern were always present, usually one or two in every litter. This strange and atypical babies usually showed a thin dorsal stripe, or glaring white around motley/striped pattern (white scales aren't present in motley-striped pattern). This babies, usually, died after few days, or died inside egg.
